From a small kitchen just outside Clonakilty, we handmake every batch of fudge to order. Using the cream of West Cork butter, we carefully make our fudge the old fashioned way.
We produce a crumbly style of buttery fudge, giving a delicate balance between salty and sweet.
Mella started making fudge with her mother in their kitchen at home in Bantry back in the 80s, and after much experimenting and trying every recipe they could find, they decided on the very best recipe, that produces our unique crumbly buttery fudge. Today, using small batch table top cookers, it’s possible to make the fudge in a similar way to produce that original taste.
The fudge comes in a range of flavours to accommodate every palette – original Vanilla using vanilla extract; for our Salted Caramel we add a freshly made caramel and sprinkle with Irish Atlantic sea salt; our Dark Chocolate is made with the stunningly deep and dark Valrhona cocoa; Irish Cream Liqueur has a wonderful creamy, boozy edge, whilst warming winter spices and a citrus kick are added to our seasonal Christmas Spice with Orange. The Selection pouch also has a Chocolate and Raspberry flavour, and a plain but sumptuous Orange fudge.
